Majority of people drink coffee in the morning but according to Times magazine, the suggested time frame for coffee consumption is starting from 10 in the morning up to 12 and then from 14:00 up to 17:00 o’clock. Consuming coffee will force the body to stop producing cortisol hormone which is important for fighting stress and is activated when there is low glucose in the blood.

Nevertheless, rather than morning coffee consumption disadvantages, we will be talking about some benefits of drinking coffee with some added components.

1- Coconut oil

Like we have mentioned in another article, coconut oil is easily metabolized because it goes directly from the digestive tract to the lungs where they are either used for energy or are transformed into ketones. Coconut oil is also widely known to reduce appetite and one can easily understand that this will give you a hand if you want to lose some weight.


2- Honey 

Honey is a good antioxidant because it combines organic acid and phenols with flavonoids. According to this study from the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, honey is a significant influencer in the elevation of the antioxidant rate in our blood.


3- Cinnamon

Like honey, cinnamon is also high in antioxidants. According to studies, cinnamon not only is antioxidant but it is also antimicrobial with a straight impact on microbes or oxidants. Furthermore, cinnamon indirectly causes anticancer and anti-inflammatory activities.


Now that we have explained some benefits from the ingredients which we are suggesting you to mix with coffee, let’s have a look on how to prepare it.

First of all, note these measures:

  • ¾ cup of coconut oil
  • ½  tbsp of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of cocoa (optional)

Mix these ingredients in a jar and make sure to cool them on the fridge. Make sure to add one or two of the above-listed measures to your coffee and enjoy it!
